I'm Kent Lins. I've been painting interiors since 1989 — condos, houses, and the occasional office across Vancouver and Richmond. Over 35 years I've narrowed my focus to what I do best and what I care about most: making people's homes beautiful.
I'm not a company with multiple crews and trucks. I'm the person who shows up, looks at your space, understands what you want, and does the painting. Start to finish, same person.
How I work
Every project starts with a walkthrough or a floor plan. I calculate actual time per surface — not square footage formulas. You get a written scope before any deposit, so you know exactly what you're paying for and what's included.
I paint almost exclusively with Benjamin Moore Aura — zero VOC, outstanding colour depth, and finishes that hold up for years. The cost is justified by the result.
Preparation
Most of the quality in a paint job happens before the brush touches the wall. Repairs need to disappear. Surfaces need to be clean, sanded, primed correctly. I review every site multiple times during the project. The details that matter most are the ones you shouldn't notice.
Colour
For establishing your palette, I recommend the colour consultants at Benjamin Moore, or one of the talented designers I've collaborated with over the years. If you have ideas but need help narrowing them down, I bring 35 years of experience with colour in residential spaces. I'm also a working artist — my eye for how colour, light, and space interact comes from decades of thinking visually.
What I don't do
I'm a painting specialist. I don't offer standalone handyman work — only as part of a larger painting project. I don't subcontract. I don't pad quotes. And I've never run a paid ad. My work comes from referrals and repeat clients.
